How this project is funded
Nothing on Provider Ledger is monetised today. This page states what that means, the rules that hold whatever happens next, and where a change would be stated.
Today
- The record is free to read in full, without an account.
- There is no price page, and no payment of any kind is taken.
- There is no advertising, no sponsored entry, no affiliate link and no paid placement.
- No company, authority or sponsor pays for an entry, for its position, or for anything written about it.
This position is fixed by the owner of the project, and no one else can change it. It is stated here so that a reader does not have to take it on trust from the rest of the site.
Rules that hold whatever happens
- Payment never changes whether a company is on this record, or where it appears. That includes a record of a removal: a withdrawal is not something that can be paid for or against.
- The order of every list is written down and public, and does not depend on payment. It is alphabetical for company lists and most recent first for change and withdrawal lists; see Method.
- An official record is never overwritten by anything a company supplies. A company’s own statement sits beside the record, dated and labelled as the company’s.
- Any sponsored material, if it ever existed, would carry a visible “Sponsored” label wherever it appeared, and would never be presented as an entry in the record.
How this could change
The project may be funded in some other way in future. If the owner decides to take money for anything, this page is where it would be stated, in plain terms, naming what is paid for and what is not. Whatever were introduced would remain bound by the rules above.
